Madden NFL 25 seems to be performing quite well. Players have praised the improved graphics, smoother gameplay, and the overall feel of the game. The new physics-informed dynamic tackling system, BOOM Tech is a notable feature, aiming to enhance the realism of tackles and collisions.

Many players appreciate the effort to make the game feel more authentic. However, not all feedback is positive. One long time fan expressed disappointment after just one game in Offline Franchise Mode on All-Madden difficulty.

They pointed out recurring issues, such as overly accurate CPU-controlled quarterbacks and difficulties playing defense, especially after the 2 minute warning. They also felt the new tackling system, while innovative, did not live up to expectations and that the new screen overlays quickly became repetitive.

The game’s graphics and gameplay improvements are top notch, but some players feel that Madden NFL 25 doesn’t bring enough new features to set it apart from previous installments. Another long time fan, who has been playing Madden for over 25 years, shared deep dissatisfaction with the game’s direction over the last two decades.

They believe EA is more focused on monetization than delivering quality game, highlighting issues like poor tackling mechanics and unpredictable player switching during defense. They also criticized the Franchise mode, particularly the mini-games, which they found too be time consuming. These frustrations led them to turn off the game after just one session.

So far, Madden NFL 25 has received a positive response from players on both Xbox and PlayStation platforms, though not without significant criticism. While there are some concerns about bugs, lack of major new features, the game’s improved graphics and new physics-informed dynamic tackling system are keeping many fans engaged. As with many new releases, updates and patches are likely on the way to address these problems.

Madden NFL 25 seems to be a solid choice. The ratings so far suggest that while it may not be perfect, it’s a game worth playing, especially if you’re a fan of the sport.
