Hey everyone, Leemah here with an important update about the recent Pixelverse airdrop. Unfortunately, the much-anticipated PIXFI airdrop has left many of us disappointed and frustrated. If you’ve been following the news, you probably already know that a significant number of users ended up receiving nothing. Here’s a detailed look at what happened and why the community is up in arms.
The Promise: 10% of PIXFI:
Pixelverse initially promised that holders of Rare, Epic, and Legendary NFTs would receive airdrops amounting to 10% of the total supply of PIXFI tokens. This was supposed to be a massive thank you for the early supporters of the ecosystem. According to their announcement, on the day of the Token Generation Event (TGE) on July 18, 2024, users would be able to check their allocations and see how many PIXFI tokens they were eligible for, based on their contributions to the Pixelverse ecosystem.

The Reality: New Mechanisms and Disappointments:
However, Pixelverse introduced a new mechanism to ensure that only genuine users who create value for the ecosystem would be rewarded, aiming to disincentivize botting and multi-account activities. This was meant to ensure fair distribution but ended up causing more problems than it solved.
Additional 20% of PIXFI:
In addition to the initial 10%, another 20% of the PIXFI supply was set to be rewarded to users to boost and incentivize the use of Pixelchain. This meant a total of 30% of the PIXFI supply was up for grabs. However, despite these promises, many users have reported receiving no PIXFI at all.
The Quest-Based Airdrop
Pixelverse introduced a quest-based airdrop system where users could claim their PIXFI tokens through gasless mechanics. By visiting their dashboard and the PixelTap mini app, users could follow instructions to claim their tokens, which would then be transferred to a gasless staking system, allowing them to earn rewards through a unique raffle system.
The Catch: Claiming and Withdrawing Tokens:
Users had one week to claim the airdrop from the Telegram mini app and the dashboard. If not claimed within this period, the tokens would be redistributed to the Community Incentives Pool. Moreover, if a user decided to withdraw their airdrop on day one, they would only receive 10% of their PIXFI tokens, with the remaining 90% being recycled into the Community Incentives Pool.
Community Backlash:
Despite these mechanisms, many users are reporting that they received nothing from the airdrop. Social media platforms have been flooded with complaints and criticisms.
